CBC News recently went undercover to investigate reports that unlicensed practitioners are selling Botox. These practitioners run spas and medical spas (“medi-spas”) in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, and advertise that a doctor will administer the Botox injection. However, at the time of treatment patients are surprised to find out that the injector is either not licensed by Botox, and/or there is no licensed medical doctor available.
