Pacific Dermaesthetics Visits Vernon

PDA group retreatOur team has come back feeling rejuvenated after a relaxing retreat in the Okanagan.

Our work family, and their families, enjoyed a lovely escape to Vernon. We went food-and-drink tasting, toured an orchard and some of us even had a chance to be treated in the spa.

We stayed at Sparkling Hill Resort, a European-style wellness retreat set on the edge of a lake and surrounded by forest. The views were stunning, especially from the outdoor pool and ‘window walls’. The 40,000 square foot spa offered a variety of saunas and pools, along with a ‘Serenity Room’ with incredibly peaceful views.

Sunburnt appleAt Davison Orchards Country Village, we rode through the farm on an orchard tour. During our visit, we learned that fruit could get sunburnt too (it’s true – see the apple?).

We continued tasting at Olive Us olive oil and vinegar tasting room, another wonderful family-owned business. We discovered that freshly crushed extra virgin oil is is almost like fresh fruit juice.Serenity room at Sparkling hill

A visit to the Okanagan Spirits Craft Distillery surprised us – they have been producing internationally award-winning BC spirits for over a decade! Some of their products include vodka, gin, brandies and Canada’s first genuine Absinthe.

A trip to the Okanagan would not be complete without a trip to a winery – Quails Gate Estate Winery in West Kelowna is one of the best.

If you’re planning a trip to Kelowna or Vernon, we highly recommend visiting these special spots.
