Dr. Rivers presents on rosacea at medical conference

Conference for Primary Care PhysiciansOn November 22nd, Dr. Rivers gave a lecture, “Rosacea: Current Management”, to 1,500 physicians at the 59th Annual St. Paul’s Hospital Continuing Medical Education Conference for Primary Physicians in Vancouver, BC.

This annual conference provides an opportunity for primary care doctors to refresh their knowledge about primary care medicine. It focuses on an evidence-based review of practical information, new trends and covers controversial topics useful for primary physicians practicing in urban or rural areas. Educational activities include a Main Lecture Series which provides a comprehensive review on Cardiology/Respiratory, Infectious Disease, Dermatology, Therapeutics, Plastics/Surgical Issues in the GP office, Investigations and more.

Dr. Rivers was a Main Lecture Series Speaker. He provided an overview of causes, diagnosis, and current and emerging treatment options, including topical, oral, and laser therapies, as well as skin care management for rosacea.
